Line a 9 inch baking dish (9 x). Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a food processor, blend the medjool dates (2 cups), refined coconut oil (2 tbsp), dutch-process cocoa powder (0.5 cup), and water (1 tbsp) until smooth. Add more [water] if dates are dry.

Add the unsalted roasted pecans (0.5 cup), dairy-free dark chocolate (1.8 oz), and flaky sea salt (1 pinch). Blend until some chunks remain.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for minutes (10). (Alternatively, skip baking for no-bake brownies).

Remove from oven, top with more crushed [pecans], chopped [dairy-free dark chocolate], and a sprinkle of [flaky sea salt] if desired. Gently press them in.
