Meanwhile, heat the vegetable oil (1 tbsp) in a sauté pan over medium-high heat and cook the firm tofu (11 oz) until golden on all sides, about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix the gochujang (0.25 cup), garlic cloves (5 quantity), reduced-sodium soy sauce (3 tbsp), and light brown sugar (2 tbsp) in a bowl. Set aside.
