In small bowl mix the white vinegar (0.5 cup), soy sauce (0.5 cup), garlic (10 clove), leaves (3 bay), black pepper (0.5 tsp), and brown sugar (1 tbsp). Mix well and set aside.
- 2
Press and dry the firm tofu (2 pack). Then, slice it into 5 slices.
- 3
In a large baking dish, place the [firm tofu] slices and pour the [soy sauce mixture].
- 4
Marinate the [firm tofu] for 2 hours or overnight. The longer it marinates, the more flavorful it will be.

Once the [firm tofu] is marinated, in large pan over medium high heat, heat the canola oil (1 tbsp). Then carefully place the [firm tofu] in the hot pan. Do not add the [marinade].
- 6
Fry the [firm tofu] for 3 minutes. Then, flip and fry the other side for another 3 minutes. Once the [firm tofu] is nice and fried on both sides, pour the [marinade].
- 7
Cook under medium low heat for 10 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- 8
Garnish with green onions (0.25 cup) and serve hot.
