Add the tea bag (4), sugar (1 tbsp), and half the sliced lemon (1.5) to a large heatproof jug. Pour over water (1 litre) and stir.

Allow the mixture to steep for 5 minutes.

Discard the tea bags and lemon slices. Let the liquid cool to room temperature, then transfer to the fridge to chill thoroughly.

When serving, fill glasses with ice cubes (1 handful) and the remaining sliced lemon (0.75). Pour in the chilled tea and garnish with fresh mint (4 sprig).
