Spiced Pumpkin Butter
This simple and silky pumpkin butter is made with just six ingredients, including warm autumn spices and real maple syrup. It is thick, creamy, and perfect for spreading on toast, stirring into coffee for a homemade latte, or using as a base for fall baking recipes.
Instructions
- 1
In a medium saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree (2 can), apple cider (0.33 cup), maple syrup (0.5 cup), vanilla extract (1 tbsp), pumpkin pie spice (1 tbsp), cinnamon (1 tsp), and kosher salt (0.5 tsp).
- 2
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat and cook, stirring often, until the mixture thickens slightly and becomes spreadable, about 20 to 30 minutes.
- 3
Remove from heat and allow the butter to cool completely, as it will continue to thicken while cooling.
- 4
Transfer the finished pumpkin butter to glass jars and store in the refrigerator for up to one month or in the freezer for up to three months.
