
Date-Sweetened Chocolate Frosting
This creamy, rich chocolate frosting is made with simple ingredients and naturally sweetened with dates. It's incredibly easy to prepare and perfect for various raw and baked desserts.

Add pitted dates (1 cup) to a food processor with the “S” blade. Pulse until very small bits remain or they form a ball.

Add warm water (0.25 cup) and pulse again until a loose, caramel-like paste forms. Scrape down sides as needed.

Add unsalted cashew butter (0.67 cup), cacao powder (0.5 cup), vanilla extract (0.5 tsp), and sea salt (1 pinch) (optional). Pulse until well combined, scraping down sides.

Add melted coconut oil (2 tbsp) and mix again until a smooth, thick, and spreadable paste forms. If chunky or dry, add more [water] or [cashew butter] as needed.

Use immediately, or if you prefer a firmer frosting, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
