
Crispy Smoked Tofu
These crispy smoked tofu slices are elevated by a rich, creamy, and flavorful peanut sauce. With smoky undertones and a satisfying texture, the tofu pairs beautifully with the savory, sweet, and subtly spicy sauce. This versatile dish is perfect for a weeknight meal or when craving comforting Asian-inspired flavors, served simply with steamed rice and fresh herbs for a complete and balanced experience.

Get a saucepan on a medium-heat.

Add your coconut milk (400 ml) to the pan with a grated ginger (1 knob), soy sauce (3 tbsp) and smooth peanut butter (1.5 tbsp). Whisk everything together.

Keep mixing and cooking until the sauce is a thick, pouring consistency. Set aside.

Get your basmati rice (400 g) on (follow pack instructions).

Cut your smoked tofu (450 g) into finger sized slices. Coat each piece of tofu in cornflour (80 g).

Heat a frying pan with some vegetable oil (2 tbsp). Add your tofu pieces to the pan. Fry for 4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.

Serve your crispy smoked tofu on a bed of steaming rice. Pour your sauce over the top. Scatter over some chopped coriander (1 bunch) and chilli flakes (0.5 tsp) and tuck in!
