
Baked Tortilla Chips
Light and crispy, these homemade tortilla chips are perfect for dipping or enjoying on their own, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite.

Line two baking trays and preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut each soft flour tortillas (1 large) into 12 pieces and transfer the pieces to a large bowl.

Pour half the vegetable oil (1.5 tbsp) over the soft flour tortillas (4 large), toss, then add the remaining oil. Toss again. Sprinkle over the salt (0.5 tsp), sweet paprika powder (0.25 tsp), and ground black pepper (0.125 tsp) and mix again, ensuring all pieces have some seasoning on them.

Lay the pieces in a single layer over the baking trays. Bake in the oven on the middle and lowest rack for 3 to 4 minutes. Rotate the pans and bake for another 3 to 4 minutes.

Remove from the oven when the edges of the chips are toasted, keeping a close eye to prevent over-toasting.
