Add onion (1 yellow), garlic (3 clove), celery (2 rib), bell pepper (1 green), bell pepper (1 red), cajun seasoning (2 tbsp), smoked paprika (2 tsp), and cayenne pepper (0.5 tsp). Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add fire roasted tomatoes (1 can), vegetable broth (4 cup), liquid smoke (1 tsp), and leaves (2 bay). Stir and bring to a rumbling boil.

Turn down the heat. Add kidney beans (1 can), white beans (1 can), diced mushrooms (1 cup), and [veggie sausages] (if using), cover, and let simmer for 25 minutes.
