These soft and fluffy vegan homemade dinner rolls are baked to perfection, made with just a few ingredients in one bowl, completely from scratch. This simple recipe yields delicious rolls everyone will enjoy.
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine all purpose flour (4 cups), cane sugar (4 tbsp), instant yeast (2.25 tsp), and salt (1 tsp). Whisk well. Make a well in the center, then pour in warmed unsweetened plant milk (1.5 cups) and vegan butter (2 tbsp). Use a rubber scraper to slowly mix until a cohesive, sticky dough forms.
- 2
Knead the dough for minutes (5), either in the bowl with a spatula or on a floured surface by hand (adding a little flour if too sticky).
- 3
Shape dough into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl. Cover and let rest for [45-60 minutes] in a warm spot, or until doubled in size, for best results.
- 4
Divide dough into 12 equal pieces (use a scale for accuracy) and shape into balls. Place seam-side down in a greased 9x13 baking pan. Cover and let rise in a warm location for [35-40 minutes] or until doubled. Preheat oven to 375˚F (190˚C).
- 5
While dough rises, combine plant milk (1 tbsp) and maple syrup (1 tbsp) in a small bowl. Brush each roll with half of this mixture after the rise. Bake for [20-25 minutes] or until golden brown.
- 6
Remove from oven. Brush with the remaining half of the mixture. Serve warm.
