
Apple Chips
These homemade Apple Chips are thinly sliced apples lightly dusted with cinnamon, then baked until deliciously crisp. Unlike store-bought versions, this recipe contains no added sugar and is baked, not fried, making it a perfectly healthy and addictive snack. They are easy to make in the oven and fill your home with a magnificent aroma. Enjoy them plain, over yogurt, on salads, or mixed into oatmeal.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or a silpat mat.

Wash the apples (3). Core and slice the [apples] horizontally into 0.125 inch-thick rounds using a mandolin or sharp knife.

Arrange the [apples] in a single layer on baking sheets. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon (0.75 tsp). Bake for 1 hour, then switch rack positions and bake for 1 to 1.5 more hours, until crisp. Turn off the oven and let the [apples] cool in the oven for 1 hour.
