
Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Place the russet potatoes (3 lb) and garlic cloves (3 clove) in a large pot. Cover with cold water by 1 inch and season with a tablespoon of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and gently boil for 15 to 20 minutes until fork-tender.

Drain the potatoes and garlic, returning them to the pot. Partially mash them using a potato masher.
