These fun bat crackers, paired with a vibrant pea and mint monster dip, make a ghoulishly good Halloween spread. They are easy to prepare and perfect for a spooky snack or party appetizer.

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Use a bat cookie cutter to cut bat shapes from the tortillas (4 wholemeal).

Transfer to a baking tray and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

Meanwhile, make the monster green dip. Tip the frozen peas (400 g) into a food processor and pick in the fresh mint (3 sprig) leaves. Add olive oil (1 tbsp), squeeze in the lemon (0.5) juice and blitz until smooth. Pour into a bowl, ready for dipping.
