Homemade Vegan Nutella
This rich and creamy homemade Nutella is a decadent vegan treat crafted with just four ingredients. By roasting fresh hazelnuts and blending them with smooth dark chocolate, you create a velvety spread that is far superior to store-bought versions. Perfect for drizzling over waffles, spreading on toast, or enjoying by the spoonful.
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 176°C (350°F). Arrange hazelnuts (3 cup) on a baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes until fragrant and the skins begin to loosen.
- 2
Let the nuts cool slightly, then transfer to a clean kitchen towel and roll them around to remove the skins.
- 3
Place the hazelnuts into a food processor or high-speed blender. Process for 8-10 minutes, scraping down the sides occasionally, until a smooth, buttery paste forms.
- 4
While the nuts are blending, melt dark dairy free chocolate (0.67 cup) over a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second bursts.
- 5
Add pure vanilla extract (1 tsp) and sea salt (0.5 tsp) to the hazelnut butter and blend. Pour in the melted chocolate and process until completely incorporated and velvety.
