Healthy Granola Bars
Thick, chewy, and sweet, these healthy homemade granola bars are a nutritious alternative to store-bought snacks. Requiring only three basic ingredients and no baking, they are perfect for a quick breakfast, a post-workout energy boost, or a kid-friendly treat.
Instructions
- 1
Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup (0.5 cup) and almond butter (1 cup). Whisk together until smooth and well combined.
- 3
Add the rolled oats (3 cups) to the bowl and stir through until a thick, uniform batter remains. Fold in any optional mix-ins if desired.
- 4
Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and press down firmly to create an even layer. Refrigerate for at least 60 minutes to firm up.
- 5
Once set, remove from the pan and slice into 24 bars.
