Focaccia Pizza
This vegan focaccia pizza features a thick and fluffy crust made with just six simple ingredients, requiring no kneading. Top it with your favorite sauce and a variety of delicious vegan toppings for an absolutely incredible pizza experience.
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, whisk together bread flour (3.5 cups), vegan cane sugar (0.25 cup), instant yeast (1 package), and salt (1 tsp).
- 2
Then, add in the dairy free milk (1.5 cups).
- 3
Using a spatula, fold until mostly combined. Sprinkle a little more flour if needed to not be sticky and form a ball.
- 4
Once a ball is formed, grease the same bowl and place the dough ball back into the bowl.
- 5
Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let sit for 60-90 minutes (use the timer for minutes (60)) in a warm, draft-free place until doubled.
- 6
When ready, on a pizza stone, lay down parchment paper and lightly flour. Stretch the dough out into a circle.
- 7
Cover it and let it sit until doubled in size, approximately minutes (20).
- 8
Once doubled, add olive oil (2 tbsp) over the top.
- 9
Using your fingertips, press down into the dough to make dimples all over (push down to make dents that touch the bottom of the stone).
- 10
Add a thin layer of marinara sauce (0.375 cup) to cover the dough.
- 11
Add any of your [pizza toppings] (e.g., vegan cheese, sliced bell peppers, vegan walnut crumbles, and red pepper flakes).
- 12
Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes (use the timer for minutes (20)) or until the bread is golden brown on top.
